Bob,
You see, your attitude is absolutely typical of someone who will fight to keep the status quo, whatever that means. Whether I played with a band for free in recent time is irrelevant, totally. I am a professional player and I think professional standards are needed in brass band adjudication for the reasons I mentioned. I made and still MAKE huge sacrifices with my family life, you clearly have no idea, to continue my involvement with the brass band world !

Chill mate.. When was the last time you played for a band for free ??or gave up your own time with your family to play or conduct with a band?? Is it that your position with this band is now in doubt?? We all experience bad results but to produce an article which slags off individules and other bands who have no significance to you other than they beat you or won an individual medal is shocking to say the least and I have lost all respect for you.

Hi Steven,
This is Ville who you spoke to in the interview about playing eupho in Perth, Western Australia. I'm now play more solopieces after starting high school at Perth Modern School. I'm in one of the wind bands and my parents tells me that we sound great.
I promised to tell you when I started palying more solopieces - so now I am.
Hope you are well.

Hi Mr Mead. A question. I have problems of resistance, my mouth is low after an hour or more of study. What kind of exercise can I do to strengthen my lips?

Thank you for everything you have done for the present and future of the euphonium world. You are one of, if not the best, euphonium players I have ever heard. I live in North Texas, here in the U. S., and get to hear Brian Bowman a lot and I feel you are a notch or two above him.
Thanks again,
tom
