Hello Johan and Ville, thanks so much for your message. I just listened to the radio podcast and think it came out very well. Thanks for your help Ville..you did a great job. It was fun to be part of that and I've just put a link to the broadcast on the front page of this site, so hopefully lots of people will listen to it now. Ville, good luck with your euphonium playing. Give me a progress report sometime ok, particularly if you get to play a solo with your band !!
All the best

Hi Steven,
My name is Johan and I'm Ville's dad - the young euphonium player in Perth, Western Australia that you spoke to in an interview for a radio (pod cast) story a few weeks ago.
The whole family has just listened to the story and it's absolutelty fantastic. Very inspirational, as is your playing. Here is the link to the story: http://www.abc.net.au/local/features/choice/.

Hi Steve.
Great to work with you on Sunday. Having bought a ticket to watch the 1st set, it was fantastic to be asked to sit in for the whole gig which of course included your duet with Steve Waterman. What a great chart! (not a bad trumpet player either) And a world premier to boot.
Hopefully a recording can be organised.
Be great to hook up next time you are in the area.
Cheers
Colin (bassbone)

Dear Mr. Steven Mead:
I'm happy for your involvement in The Tubas and Euphonium Festival of Argentina. I never thought I would meet you in person, much less be able to receive lessons from you.

You have a very impressive sound indeed, sir!
I'm 16 and I've been playing for 4 years, and I instantly fell in love with the euphonium, but you are another kick to me. Meaning, you are great inspiration, and you've shown me that euphoniums can shine all on their own. Unfortunately, at my school, the low brass is looked down to. But inside, everyone knows that we are the roots. And now, I know for sure that we can go as far as we want. I definitely want to continue playing after school. Reply!

Hi Martin
Thanks for the message. Hopefully you are all over the jet lag by now, what an amazing two weeks that was. No-one forgets their first visit to Japan and it was so good that you got to see several different cities and how good it was to travel on the bullet train, and what a contrast that was to the awful train ride I had from London to home last saturday...engineering works, dirty station, dodgy looking people, loud iPods and phones blaring on the trains, and overpriced! Steve

Hey Steven, just to say it was a great pleasure working with you and hearing you play in Japan with NYBBS. It was one of the best experiences in my life so far.
