It should be read by every player, and mor important done carefully.
In addition to all that it is worth to give the instrument every one or one and a half to the repairer. There it will by laid in a special bath with chemicals to dissolve the limestone inside the valvetubes.
I do it that way since many years. It is worth to do so. The instrument will have a much longer live.

Bravo ! I think the judging experiment is a great idea. I hope many people take part.... sadly I wont be there, its a long way to come from New Zealand for the weekend !!!

Great idea for the judging. I'm downloading the forms and will be at Symphony Hall on Saturday. Do you want the forms handing in at the end of the day? But I'm not sure if mine will make any sense !!

York is going to be away from the market. But so bad must theese instruments not have been. David Childs is playing on one. Black Dyke and Cory also play York's.
I think it's all a question of marketing ang money.
But anyway, Bessons for me are the best, particularly the euphs.

Finally the York brand is no more. Thank God I say. They were badly advised to make those damned things in the first place, and they never owned those designs. Quality was rubbish and now finally we can say goodbye
