Please contact me now if you're interested to  studying at the RNCM for either 2015 or 2106.  This year we open the Philip Jones Centre as part of the brass department, which will also see invited guest artists and teachers from around the world coming to work with our students. It is indeed a very exciting time to be part of this institution.

Please visit the RNCM website: www.rncm.ac.uk

Teachers:

Professor Steven Mead

David Thornton

The RNCM has become a focal point for euphonium players in the UK and around the world. Its combination of  geographic location, set in the heart of the UK brass band  has made it a mecca for aspiring performers and teachers.

Virtually all our students become members of brass bands outside of the school,  and current students are members of, for example,  The Black Dyke Band, Fodens Band,  Grimethorpe Colliery,  Brighouse and Rastrick,  The Fairey Band.

The RNCM Wind Orchestra and brass band  are world renowned and work with the finest conductors in the UK.

Each student is a member of a small ensemble,  quartets,  quintets  and several of these have won international success at competitions in recent years.
