Thanks Nolan, that's very kind of you. I enjoyed being at UNT, and playing the duet with Brian Bowman was such a pleasure.

I'm still on Cloud Nine from your Saturday recital at the University of North Texas! Thanks for reminding me why I loved the euphonium all those years ago!

Hi Mr Mead (:
It's about airplanes.
My school is bringing the band for an overseas trip, which will involve a plane journey. I'm worried about my euphonium - what kind of damage could be done to it if I check it in? (because my teacher says so)
I'm exceptionally worried because if it gets damaged in any way, I'll have no replacement instrument as I'm the only euphist going. And I'm using one of the 'better' euphoniums, so damaging it wouldn't be nice.
Thanks
Alexandra

Hello, Everyone, from Tallinn, Estonia. I teach "eufoonium" at a kids' music school here.
I'm always on the lookout for good material for younger players, and just received "Romantic Latin for Euphonium," featuring our friend Steve.
Wow! What a wonderful collection of beautiful melodies, standards that you will recognize. Arranged by Peter Linx, with CD accompaniment tracks that are not cheesey.
Middle tessitura, easy ranges for youngsters. Both TC & BC parts provided by de Haske. Love it!

Hi Steve:
At the National Brass Band competition in Grand Rapids, MI this year, you mentioned a Denis Wick new mouthpiece that I should try. Presently, I am using the Bach 6 1/2 AL. It seems like you said to get the: Denis Wick SM5 ultra. The euphonium that I am using has a large shank. Is this the correct mouthpiece that I should consider? I am interested in the brass mouthpiece. Thankyou very much. Evagene

I want to congratulate you on producing your Meadsprings. After a serious wristbreak, I thought it best to allow some time to build up finger strength before reviewing them! I have a Yamaha Maestro 632 tuba & the shape/design eliminates potential noise found with trad. springs. Finger action is more even and this helps tongue coordination. Bravo!
